Erie County Medical Center and Great Lakes Cancer Care Collaborative are proud to present Cancer Prevention for People Living with HIV Continuing Education Course.  UBMD Surgery is in collaboration with Great Lakes Cancer Care Collaborative and will have 2 surgeons speaking as experts on the panel.

The FREE continuing education course will take place on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Erie County Medical Center, Floor 3, Smith Auditorium.

Topic Secession presented by clinical experts will include:

  • Introductions: Dr. Jennifer Frustino
  • HIV: Dr. Jonathan Claus
  • Medica Oncology: Dr. Naheed Alam
  • Head and Neck Cancer: Dr. Michael Nagai
  • Lung Cancer: Dr. Robert Qaqish
  • HCV/HBV/Liver Cancer: Dr. Anthony Martinez
  • Anal Cancer: Dr. Joseph Mills
  • Questions: Expert Panel

This presentation is offered for Physicians, Allied Health professionals, and anyone interested in the community. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize how routine preventative care may lead to cancer risk reduction or early diagnosis
  • Identify disease sites where people living with HIV may be more at risk for cancer
  • Understand cancer as it relates to people living with HIV vs. the general population
  • Receive a Verification Certificate for two (2) hours
