Kaveh Vali, MD

Kaveh Vali, MD is an attending pediatric surgeon at the John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital and Associate Professor of Surgery at the Jacob School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.  He is an Assistant Program Director of the Pediatric Fellowship Program.  Dr. Vali has been an attending at Oishei Children’s Hospital since finishing his training in 2011.   He has been on multiple committees and is a devoted educator to the surgical residents and fellows.

His interests include minimally invasive pediatric surgery, as well as pediatric gastrointestinal challenges such as short bowel syndrome and colorectal disorders.

Dr. Vali is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

He attended medical school at McGill University.  He completed his general surgery training at the University of California San Francisco. He continued his training and completed his Pediatric Surgery Fellowship at the University of Montreal. He is board certified in both adult general surgery and pediatric general surgery.
