UBMD Surgeons Dr. Gene Yang, General Surgeon; Chairman of the Department of Surgery Dr. Steven Schwaitzberg, General Surgeon; and Dr. Mark Falvo, Colorectal Surgeon, are visiting with surgical innovators in Korea. Together they are working on launching a clinical trial that will be conducted at the University of Buffalo to prevent the need for ileostomy in high-risk patients with rectal cancer.
