The Advanced Pediatric Wound Care Center provides treatment for acute trauma injuries and is available to other providers for complex wound treatment. Physicians at the center are standardizing wound care with the ability to treat traumatic wounds, burn wounds, device-related wounds, surgical complications, radiation wounds, and diabetic wounds. The only program in WNY treating kids and the only program that can treat both inpatient and outpatient pediatric trauma and transition seamlessly back and forth. Dr. Kathryn D. Bass, of UBMD Surgery, is the Director of Pediatric Trauma at the Advanced Pediatric Wound Care Center, located at John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, New York.
